Having recently stayed at Sio Hostel in Siofok, we were pleasantly surprised by its convenient location right on the Petofi promenade, offering easy access to the port just 150 meters away. the front desk staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in process. Our simply furnished room with a private bathroom provided all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Although basic, the clean and cozy beds offered a restful night's sleep amidst the bustling city. the shared kitchen facilities were a convenient addition for preparing light meals and snacks. Despite the hostel's former life as a student dormitory, the building exudes a charming character, and its proximity to the lake and ship station added to the overall appeal. For budget-conscious travelers like ourselves, Sio Hostel proved to be a cost-effective choice, especially considering its prime location near the beach and the city center. the friendly staff enhanced our experience, ensuring we felt welcomed and taken care of during our time in Siofok. Whether traveling with family or friends, the hostel's affordability and proximity to key attractions make it a solid choice for a memorable stay by Lake Balaton. We look forward to returning in the future to revisit this charming lakeside destination.
